Enstrom’s
280FX and F-28F piston-powered helicopters are the only turbo-charged
helicopters produced in the world today. The turbo-charged power plant
provides excellent hot and high performance. In addition to maintaining
sea level performance to 12,000 ft, they feature the roomiest 3 person
cockpits in their class.
480B light turbine helicopter
The 480B series has now been certified in sixteen countries and has already been operated in more than 25 countries around the world. Exceptionally stable, easy to fly, with wide safety margins, the 480B is a very versatile helicopter. With outstanding performance, a superior cabin, lowest acquisition and operating costs in its class, the 480B is proving to be a popular choice for a wide range of applications. From personal
transport, flight instruction, law enforcement, power line patrol,
executive transport (charter), electronic news gathering, pipeline
patrol, aerial photography, sightseeing, cargo/passenger delivery to air
force and military training.
The Enstrom approved repair and maintenance facilities are:Nicholson
Helicopters which is located at Grand Central Airport, and Trio
Aviation which is located at Lanseria Airport. Other maintenance
facility arrangements exist at both Cape Town and Durban Airports.
The Enstrom flight training facilities:Babcock Flying Academy, which is located at Grand Central Airport, and Henley Air, which is located at Rand Airport, are both Flight Training Schools using the Enstrom Helicopter for pilot and conversion courses.
