Safomar Industrial Brands (Pty) LTD – (SIB) has a long and established history with many of the continents leading airlines and MROs. SIB can trace its first transactions back to the early 1980s when the South African Air Force ("SAAF”) and South African Airways ("SAA”) purchased AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings for their fleet. Thereafter the majority of commercial, military and general aviation organizations became comprehensive clients of SIB.

In 2005 SAA Technical rewarded SIB a five year contract to supply them with aerospace sealants. SIB then became the exclusive distributor of PPG Aerospace Sealants in Southern Africa.In 2008 SIB began offering chemical and consumables logistics, known as Total Stock Management Solutions ("TSMS”).

In 2010 SIB appointed their first African distributor in Nairobi Kenya as part of its African expansion drive. SIB aggressively grew its Total Stock Management System (TSMS) in the South African market with an extremely successful uptake and subsequently launched in the rest of Africa.

2010 and 2011 has seen many new "blue-chip” principals join our list of suppliers as SIB diversifies into the military and industrial sectors. These principals included 3M, LPS, Perrone Aerospace, Marlin Co, Polyken, Prime Cleaning Supplies, Graco, Henkel and Plascon.
